Hi everyone! Last week, we featured a scrumptious Grilled Salmon Burger. This week, we’re going to look at the sweet side of things with a Peach Iced Tea Recipe, written by Chef Alex Caspero. This was also in our July 4th Recipe Booklet, now posted here for your perusal.
Cooking Summary
Here’s a quick summary of how long to expect to cook and how many glasses this recipe yields!
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Serves: 8 Cups
Ingredients:
You are going to want to get the following ingredients:
– 2 ripe peaches, sliced
– 8 cups of water (divided into 1 and 7 cups)
– 2 tbsp sugar (add more if desired)
– 2 large tea bags
– 1 cup torn basil leaves
Equipment
Don’t forget to gather stuff to make the tea with! Be sure to grab a:
– Sauce Pan
– Immersion or High-Powered Blender
Directions:
1.) Make the peach puree: combine the sliced peaches, 1 cup water, and sugar into a sauce pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and let cook for 5 minutes.
2.) After 5 minutes, remove from heat and let it cool. Once cool, puree using an immersion blender or a high-powered blender.
3.) Bring the remaining 7 cups of water to a boil.
4.) Place the tea bags and basil leaves into a large pitcher and pour the boiling water over. Steep for 5 minutes.
5.) Remove tea bags and basil leaves.
6.) Stir in the peach puree and serve over ice.
And there you have it. If you followed the directions to a tea, then you should have a nice and refreshing glass of Peach Iced Tea. Let us know how it went on our Facebook and Instagram! You could also leave a comment down below!
